Just south of the bustling Yonge and Bloor intersection, Charles Street East has seen nearly constant construction activity for close to a decade now. Over the past few years this rapidly densifying stretch spanning from Yonge to Jarvis has seen the addition of hundreds of condominium units from projects like Casa and X Condos. The second proverbial wave of development on Charles started last year, with the demolition of Macy Dubois' 45 Charles Street East, which was cleared to make way for CHAZ Yorkville Condos, a 47-storey condominium by 45 Charles Ltd. Edenshaw Homes is constructing it.
